Kam Heong aubergine, one of our favourite dishes on the current menu.

Kam Heong is a Malaysian Chinese cooking style most commonly associated with seafood, built around curry leaves, fermented soybeans, garlic and spices. The result is intensely savoury, aromatic and deeply moreish. Our version pairs those flavours with silky aubergine, which readily absorbs every element of the sauce.

To drink, try our Prana Rioja: young and unoaked it is juicy and fresh. Alternatively, Domaine Breton’s Grolleau from the Loire: served chilled, it brings bright summer berries and soft tannins, a great warm-weather red.

A sunny week means our pub suddenly gets quieter. Fair enough.

If you’ve reached the stage of summer where cooking feels unreasonable, we’ve just launched a new menu. Including this Thai-style fried chicken with mango kerabu.

Despite the name, this isn’t actually a traditional Thai dish. It’s a Malaysian Chinese restaurant classic, inspired by the bright, fresh flavours people associate with Thai food. Crispy spiced fried chicken with a sweet, tangy, herb-packed mango salad, exactly the food built for hot weather.

Also returning: fried chicken bao.

We’ve got cold drinks, plenty of space, and someone else doing the washing up ☀️

Served with pickled green chilli, a must-have condiment that cuts through the richness. Only 8 portions available per day.
