A big thank you to my amazing team at The Plough!
Serving food all day on Fridays and Saturdays and extending Sunday lunches until 5pm has been a great success. Behind that success is a team who have rolled up their sleeves, supported each other and helped wherever needed, without a word of complaint.
Billy, our Head Chef, thank you for keeping standards high in the kitchen and for all the hard work that goes into it.
Rose, my right hand, thank you for keeping everything running to the same standards when I’m not around. And to Leah, Jacqui and Joanna, our lovely supervisors, thank you for looking after our guests and supporting the team.
Deepak, our Sous Chef, thank you for always being there when something needs covering. And Mike, our new Senior Sous, you’ve done an amazing job while Billy has been on holiday.
Orest, you deserve a special mention. You work so hard and never complain. This kitchen wouldn’t be the success without you. Great job, and thank you!
Marek, thank you for joining us at weekends and bringing so much experience to the kitchen. You’ve been a brilliant addition.
Kitty, thank you for helping in the kitchen today. It’s not everyone’s favourite job, but you’re always happy to lend a hand, and I really appreciate it.
Thank you to Lauren, Martina and Oliver for doing such a great job, and to Megan, who’s back from uni and helping us again. To all our hard-working part-time staff and anyone I haven’t mentioned by name, your efforts haven’t gone unnoticed.
I’m proud of this team. Busy services are hard work, and having people around you who care and look out for each other makes all the difference.
