This garnacha dominant wine from our friends at Barranco Oscuro is grown at an altitude of over 1300 metres above sea level.
I remember when I visited this vineyard (pictured on the label) years ago that we were above the clouds and could see the sea from here and that it was a miracle that people had planted grapes here and decided to make wine, and not just wine, delicious unique wines that channel the sense of this singular land.

They are now fighting to keep it this way as the government is proposing to put power lines and large towers through the vineyards. We support their fight by drinking and selling their wines since the start of Casa Lhasa. (And before)
