James handed Uffe a bottle of his Chardonnay once.

Back then he wasn’t making orange w**e at all. James’ was a Chardonnay, fermented on the skins. He took one sip, said “wow, this is great,” and asked how James had done it. So he told him.

Next vintage? Four orange w**es. And yeah, James reckons they’re all better than his.

Consider this your reminder that the August–September flight is well and truly here.

Six w**es, three labels, all lined up under the one roof in Aldinga. A couple of Poppelvej under cork, Golden Child's white-on-skins Tropicana and the Beach Bum Rosé, then Brash Higgins bringing it home with the FRNC and the CBSV.

Starts sunny, ends serious. Exactly how a good afternoon should go.

Tastings till 4, Friday through Sunday.

It won't be pouring forever, though. Come get amongst it whilst it's here.

The new list has landed and it’s a good one. 🍷

Six w**es on the tasting menu, twelve by the glass, across all three labels; from Uffe’s PMTD chardonnay just out of the ’25 vintage, to two Brash Higgins cabernets that share a name and behave nothing alike, to James’s gamay, which has barely been in the world a year.

Open Friday + Saturday from 12PM - 9PM and Sunday 12PM - 5PM. Come down, stay for a spell, grab a bottle to go.
