THE MARITIME COUNTY
Following on from their sold-out headline at Oporto, we bring this class band to the Lending Room.
They are an upcoming indie rock band from Leeds delivering raw, authentic performances to the venues they’ve played so far. With songs that just sound classic hinting influence from bands such as The Stone Roses, The Bridewell Taxis, The Waterboys and James. With both stripped back acoustic sing-alongs and tracks with roaring guitars The Maritime County are creating tunes that undeniably capture the northern indie sound.

ROSE VILLAS

A four-piece from Hebden Bridge, playing a rural northern towns approach to alternative rock and the post punk movement.

FAHREN
A Yorkshire singer-songwriter blending indie rock and folk with honest storytelling and anthemic melodies. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Sam Fender, Noah Kahan and Catfish and the Bottlemen, his songs combine raw emotion with energetic acoustic performances, creating an intimate yet uplifting live experience that leaves a lasting impression.

A rock group from Leeds with loud guitars, big choruses, and no nonsense. Raised on old school bands such as The Stone Roses and Oasis, they play with high energy and pure conviction. Muldoon aren’t here to follow trends, they’re here to make their mark.

THE BROKEN FRAME
They combine the harmonies and songwriting of 60s pop with the energy of 2000s indie, whilst having introspective lyrics akin to the post punk of the 2020s.

An Indie/Alternative Rock band from Yorkshire that blends the intense energy of rock 'n' roll with exhilarating adrenaline.

A refreshing indie-rock band from Leeds, delivering original, female-fronted music inspired by Florence + the machine and Fleetwood mac. Their sound combines powerful and emotive vocals with high energy, indie-rock driven instrumentals, to create a unique live sound.

A duo-fronted Indie Rock band from the North of England. Their music varies from wide, almost ‘cinematic’ rock to soft and delicate guitar led tracks, with a heavy focus on creating a strong atmosphere. Their sound has been described to have the heaviness of bands like Linkin Park, Foo Fighters and Mallory Knox with the emotional content of artists such as Radiohead, Ben Howard and Foals.

MAN EAT MAN
A new noisy Post - Hardcore group from Bradford, UK.
Influenced by the harsh noises from reality, and the even harsher world around them. There's a certain amount of honesty and bluntness that comes from their music that can't be take for granted.
When push comes to shove, they'll tell you to jump into nothingness.

FRACTURA-IV
A dynamic alternative rock band based in Leeds, actively making waves in the vibrant West Yorkshire music scene. The band features a classic four-piece line up with two guitars, a bass, vocals, and drums, creating a rich and layered sound that blends energetic riffs with compelling rhythms and emotive lyrics. Known for their engaging live performances, Fractura delivers a powerful and authentic alternative rock experience that resonates with local audiences and continues to grow their fanbase across the region.

FRUTIGER
An upcoming alt-rock band that blends the heavy distortion of the 90s with the nostalgic, distant tones of early shoegaze. Their use of textures such as synth and organ creates an ambience that contrasts the harshness of the other instruments. With most of their songwriting coming from rehearsal room jam sessions, they’re not afraid to incorporate elements of modern prog rock, leaving room for improvisation and raw energy.

An alt rock/post grunge band from Yorkshire, blending heavy melodic guitars, raw emotion, and a punch of punk energy. Formed in 2019 and re emerging in 2026 with a sharper sound, they draw from post grunge grit, punk urgency, and modern alt rock atmosphere to create something nostalgic yet forward leaning.

DEEP BLOOM
They bring genres together to create a tune you can’t help but sing along to.
Their high intensity riffs, screeching solos and punchy drums mixed with the groovy basslines keep the vibes high. Forming in 2025, deep bloom take influence from QOTSA, Suede and Alkaline Trio to create their unique originals.

LAOISE JANE
An indie artist from Reading, now based in Leeds, who takes influence from artists such as Paris Paloma and Florence Road. She has performed in many venues around Leeds including Lending Room and The Fox and Newt. Working with her newly formed band her music is moving in a heavier direction that she is hoping to continue alongside an EP release in the near future titled ‘Anatomy’.

Tomorrow night at Oporto - Leeds

DAHLIA
An alt-rock band mixing the guitars of 90's indie-rockers like Weezer and blur, with the melancholy of acts like PJ Harvey and Radiohead, the five members have produced a sound which sticks out against the indie-pop acts of the city.

MAISIE JEAN AND THE NOISE MACHINES
Inspired by grunge and post punk icons like Hole and Joy Division, the band is built around reimagining Maisie Jean’s anarchic ambient electronic pop in a live, guitar-driven setting. They have played many venues in both Sheffield and Leeds since their inception in January 2026, with notable shows at Abbeydale Live Festival and a pop up shop supporting Reverend and the Makers.

HAY
A 4-peice emo band combining hope and heartbreak with the heavy guitars and feedback heard in the 90s alt rock scene. Hay bring a unique sound and presence to their performances, making a memorable mark on the local scene.

MERLO
“Merlo blew me away! Great front-woman, energetic drummer, fantastic audience repour, incredible solos – a band that know how to put on a show! Well-rehearsed set from a band that I would love to see more of!” - InPop

They were unavailable for comment, so we went through their bins and found the following statement: “Merlo are a four piece aspiring industry plant, hoping that one of their dads will soon become the owner of Domino Records. Until then, or until someone says John Peel would have liked them, and they record their second album in LA, losing all of their authenticity, they’d be grateful if you’d come to a gig.”

SCARLETT
A new indie band - riff driven and sweaty. Their songs channel the chaos and tension of youth, pairing raw lyricism with coming-of-age melodies to create angry yet euphoric anthems. Their live set is a journey through emotional highs and lows, with waves of nostalgia and a rough, honest, lived-in energy. With two upcoming singles being mixed, Scarlett are establishing themselves as a band to watch.

JEANPOOL
If you’re interested in womanhood, q***r love and music you can’t help but dance along to then a Jeanpool gig might just be the place for you! A band composed of women and gender non-conforming musicians that harnesses heartfelt performances and want to envelop you into their musical world. Dress in your finest denim and prepare to hear nostalgic, fun indie rock.

PAPERCUT
A band from Leeds who draw inspiration from the alternate rock and indie genres, resulting in an organic and original live sound. Featuring powerful vocal lines and lyrics, as well as intricate guitar, bass and drum part, their live show is sure to redefine how you feel rock is to be performed, with the group exploring a vast range of emotions lyrically and sonically throughout their set. With each new song they perform, the band focus on taking the audience on an audible journey, shedding light on both complex and modest themes.

BENJY SAIA
He pairs heartfelt songwriting alongside an energy that is raw and real. He aims to make sure his acoustic roots shine through while still operating within the indie-rock space as seen with his new single ‘What She Found In Dreams. When performing live, Benjy and his band offer both an intimate experience as well as a classic but refreshing “rock band” performance which allows them to separate themselves from other bands in the scene.

RAMONA ALICE
An independent musician from Leeds, her sound best described as indie folk and gothic folk. Her original song Feeling Small, has featured on BBC introducing’s Radio 1. Currently, Ramona is recording new music in the studio, working on an EP.

ELLIE KENNEDY
Leeds based indie artist, who is already making waves in the music industry with her fresh and infectious sound. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Ella Red, Olivia Rodrigo and Harry Styles, Ellie’s music is a fusion of catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics.
