Some stories come full circle... and this one comes with a cold drink in hand 🍺
On June 20th, the French Lick Scenic Railway is proud to welcome back one of our own: Tommy Lynch.
If the name sounds familiar, you might remember him as "The Beard" (or "The Beer'd," get it?) from his Springs Valley days. A 2010 graduate, Tommy went on to Indiana State University, earning both his bachelor's and master's degrees before building a career in higher education. But like many great stories, his next chapter started unexpectedly - during COVID with a homebrewing kit and a new passion.
In 2022, he joined Grand Junction Brewing Co. in Westfield, IN starting from the ground up - cleaning equipment, washing kegs, learning the craft. By 2024, he had worked his way up to Head Brewer at the company. Located just outside Grand Park, the brewery draws its name from the railroads that once crossed the town and the Underground Railroad that shaped its past. Since opening in 2014, Grand Junction has built a reputation for small-batch, European-inspired beers, crafted with care, local ingredients, and a true "mom and pop” spirit.
Now, he's bringing that craft back home.
