🇭🇺 Hungary & Croatia at The Sneak 🇭🇷

It’s always fun—and educational—to explore and taste wines from new regions, and last week was a hoot!

We spent time with Alexis Carr of Danch & Granger Selections choosing wines for our upcoming tasting. We learned about Hungarian and Croatian grape varieties, the regions’ distinctive terroir, and—most importantly—how to pronounce the names of the grapes!

Choosing was difficult, so we thought, “What the heck?” and selected eight wines for the tasting.

Join us Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 1–3 PM. There’s a lot to taste and absorb, so please arrive promptly at 1 PM.

The cost to attend is $25.00 per person. Hurry and reserve as we are almost at capacity.

Just arrived at WineSneak — 2024 Jean-Philippe Fichet. 🇫🇷

One of Meursault’s most respected growers, Fichet is known for beautifully precise, mineral-driven white Burgundies that put vineyard and terroir front and center.

We’ve just received three of his 2024s:

Auxey-Duresses (6 bottles)
Meursault “Les Criots” (3 bottles)
Chassagne-Montrachet (8 bottles)

These are classic, refined white Burgundies with freshness, energy and remarkable definition—the kind of wines that remind you why great Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune is so compelling. Fichet’s 2024 Les Criots, in particular, comes from a small Meursault lieu-dit and is described as combining richness with a distinctly mineral character.
