Join us this Friday, September 4th, from 5–8 PM for Art After Dark at Central Coast Wines! 🎨🍷

This month we’re featuring the work of local artist Madison East.

Her art consists of a series of intricate collages incorporating fragments of newspapers and found printed matter, with each work functioning as a portrait of longing.

Her process is palpable in the pieces, assembled from a language of deconstruction, color blocking, and a marriage of mass production print media.

Sip, stroll, and support local art while enjoying $8 Happy Hour select glasses throughout the evening. We can’t wait to see you there!

This month we’re featuring the beautiful work of local artist Mallory Harris. Originally from Snowmass Village, Colorado, Mallory moved to the Central Coast in 2014 to earn her art degree at Cal Poly. Working primarily in ink and watercolor, her pieces explore the intersection of figurative painting, abstraction, and narrative illustration.

Sip, stroll, and support local art while enjoying $8 Happy Hour select glasses throughout the evening. We can’t wait to see you there!

If you're looking for cool-climate elegance in a bottle, this is it. 🍷 The 2022 D'Alfonso-Curran Pinot Noir opens up with rich blackberries, black cherry, and subtle notes of violets, sandalwood, and cardamom. It’s wonderfully structured, incredibly smooth, and finishes with a long, silky texture that keeps you coming back for another sip.

Founded by Central Coast winemaking legends Bruno D’Alfonso and the late Kris Curran (formerly of Sanford and Sea Smoke), this premium label represents over 50 years of passion and expertise. Cheers to a true Santa Barbara classic! 🥂

🧡 Back on the shelf: 2024 Forlorn Hope “Queen of the Sierra” Amber Wine from Rorick Heritage Vineyard.

This beautifully textured amber wine is bursting with aromas of dried apricot, orange peel, chamomile, and wild herbs. Extended skin contact creates a silky, lightly grippy palate balanced by vibrant acidity and a refreshing mineral finish.

If you’re curious about skin-contact wines or already an orange wine fan, this bottle is a must-try. Pair it with Mediterranean fare, roasted vegetables, aged cheeses, or simply enjoy it on its own.

Stop by Central Coast Wines to discover one of California’s most distinctive expressions of amber wine. 🍷✨

A harmonious combination of Grenache Blanc, Clairette Blanche, and a touch of Bourboulenc. This wine, crafted from wild fermentations and aged in neutral French oak, showcases a beautifully integrated profile with a vibrant, aromatic complexity. 🍇☀️

Behind the bottle: Dieter Cronje. When he’s not crafting elegant, cool-climate wines as the founding winemaker at Presqu’ile, Riding Monkey is his playground. It's a small-batch passion project where he gets to experiment with wild fermentations and minimal intervention. The Mezcla Blanca is a perfect example of what happens when a precision winemaker decides to have a little fun. 🐒✨
