A harmonious combination of Grenache Blanc, Clairette Blanche, and a touch of Bourboulenc. This wine, crafted from wild fermentations and aged in neutral French oak, showcases a beautifully integrated profile with a vibrant, aromatic complexity. 🍇☀️

Behind the bottle: Dieter Cronje. When he’s not crafting elegant, cool-climate wines as the founding winemaker at Presqu’ile, Riding Monkey is his playground. It's a small-batch passion project where he gets to experiment with wild fermentations and minimal intervention. The Mezcla Blanca is a perfect example of what happens when a precision winemaker decides to have a little fun. 🐒✨

🧊 Chill Out with Glou Glou

If "refreshing" and "red wine" don’t usually go together in your vocabulary, the 2024 Las Jaras "Glou Glou" is here to change your mind.

Created by the powerhouse duo of Joel Burt and Eric Wareheim, this Mendocino blend is the gold standard for chillable reds. It’s vibrant, high-energy, and specifically crafted to be "glugged" (hence the name!) during your favorite afternoon hangouts.

The Breakdown:

The Mix: A unique Mendocino blend of 56% Zinfandel, 33% Carignan, 6% Sangiovese, and 5% ValdiguiÊ.

The Vibe: Think of this as a "serious" wine that refuses to take itself seriously. It’s made using carbonic maceration, which locks in those bright, poppy fruit flavors while keeping the tannins soft and silky.

The Taste: Big aromas of black plum, red licorice, and raspberry. Give it a swirl to reveal spicy hints of clove and hawthorn.

Pro Tip:

Give it 30 minutes in the fridge! Cold temperatures make those red fruit notes pop and heighten the wine's natural "zip." It’s the perfect companion for a sunny patio, a messy burger, or just a Tuesday night that needs a little extra spark.

🍇 Available now in-store. Catch this Mendocino masterpiece while you can—it’s a fan favorite for a reason!

🍷 Au Revoir Rules, Bonjour Rosé!

What happens when a Bordeaux winemaker gets tired of "fuddy-duddy" French regulations? He moves to Paso Robles to create masterpieces like this.

The 2024 L’Aventure "Estate" Rosé is a rebel with a cause. Crafted by the legendary Stephan Asseo, this bottle is a beautiful "cross-pollination" of varieties that would be strictly forbidden together in France.

The Details:
The Blend: A bold mix of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Graciano.

The Vibe: Provence style meeting Northern RhĂ´ne body. Light, crisp, and silky with a stunning rose-gold hue.

The Profile: Notes of fresh strawberry, citrus peel, and a hint of watermelon, all buttressed by a subtle savory edge and perfect acidity.

Made using the saignée method, it has just enough "grip" to pair beautifully with food or shine all on its own. It’s a wine born from freedom—and you can taste the innovation in every sip.

✨ Now pouring at the shop. Come grab a bottle of Paso Robles history (and a little bit of French defiance).

New wine + picnic baskets 🧺☀️

Two crisp whites made for sunny pours and easy bites

Gavi — delicate aromas of citrus, honeydew & roasted almond open into bright flavors of lemon, grapefruit, green apple, melon, pear & white peach. Clean, mineral-driven finish. Perfect with appetizers, fresh fish, and light first courses.

Chenin Blanc (Chalone Vineyard, 1919 vines ) — grown in limestone + volcanic soils, showing jasmine, citrus pith, pear & melon with vibrant acidity and a textured, lifted finish.

Pour, picnic, repeat 🥂🧺✨

Janie Willheim makes . During the day she oversees the wine club for in Paso Robles and helps out with production. The rest of the time, she makes wine from grapes like Riesling and Counoise and Valdiguié, y’know the wines you’d usually expect from a winery in Paso Robles. Um, no.
I’m sure someone has taken her aside and said “look, just focus on Cabernet and Grenache Blanc, and maybe a GSM too and you’ll be making deliveries in a Mercedes G Wagon in no time!” but no, Janie isn’t wired that way. In fact, she’s unwired, no static, no tension, just inspiration. Brilliant Sangiovese here, like what Chianti would be like if the weather in Tuscany was more conducive to growing grapes. Bright berries (straw, rasp, etc) with the right amount of acidity and length. It’s vibrant but not obnoxious, tastes as good chilled (a good thing for Paso summers) or room temp (er, room temp of a castle in Scotland in April or May) and makes most food taste better for being accompanied by a bottle of Dream Dweller.
Does this wine dwell within the dream, or IS it the dream? Maybe ask Janie.
