A Kranz is just an excuse to spend a little more time together.

What’s a Kranz you ask? It’s a round serving tray that holds eleven small 0.2L (about 7 oz) pours of crispy Kölsch, served in traditional glasses called Stangen. A classic beer tradition from Cologne, Germany.

Green Cheek is coming to South Park

Join us Saturday, June 13 at 5pm for a tap takeover featuring nine beers from one of our favorite SoCal breweries. Their crew will be here hanging out, plus we’ll have food from .spot.sd!

On draught we’ll have their Czech Pils, Italian Pils, two West Coast IPAs, a hazy DIPA, witbier, nitro dry stout and even a Paloma seltzer. Also, we’ll tap a stichfaß of their Helles at 5pm.

Good beer. Good company.

What’s a Stichfaß?
A traditional German wooden cask.
The spigot is hammered in by hand.
The beer flows out naturally.
No CO₂. Just gravity.

The result is a softer, smoother beer to enjoy while it lasts.

Starting today: Mastiff is cooking at Bock.

They’ll be here Wednesday through Sunday with bratwurst, warm pretzels, double smash burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, wings, Mastiff fries, brussels sprouts and more.

Kitchen hours:

Wednesday + Thursday: 3pm–9pm
Friday–Sunday: 12pm–9pm

Come hungry, grab a beer, bring a friend and help us give Mastiff a proper welcome to the bar.

We’ve got a pretty full week over here.

Trivia tonight at 6:30pm. Tomorrow pops up in the kitchen serving through Sunday. Faß Friday is back with a stichfaß of Einbecker Mai-Ur-Bock tapping at 5pm. And Saturday we’re opening early at 11am for USA vs Germany.

Padres vs Phillies will be on the TVs, the NBA Finals get started and next Tuesday we’ve got joining us too!

A good week to come hang. 🐐

Trivia, Faß Friday, World Cup watch parties, beer events, Father’s Day stein holding, keep-the-glass pours, Padres and plenty of soccer on the TVs.

This calendar doesn’t even include the kitchen pop-ups yet, so we’ll post those separately as they get closer.

A little food update from Bock.

We’re working hard to find the right long-term food partner to call our kitchen home. In the meantime, we’re excited to bring in a few food pop-ups throughout June with some friends and neighbors.

First up is Mastiff Kitchen, joining us June 3–7!

We’re excited to kick things off with them. They’re good people and they make great food. Menu and more food announcements are coming soon.
