Celebrating the Life of Jennifer Davis

A gentle reminder that we will be gathering to celebrate the life of our beloved Jennifer Davis on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 PM at The Alley (3325 Grand Ave, Oakland).

To honor Jen’s spirit and her love for this community, a dear friend of hers will be providing live piano music throughout the afternoon.

Ways to Contribute:

The Memorial Altar: You are invited to bring a photo, crystal, candle, or small trinket to add to the offerings. You may take your item home after the celebration.

Stories & Songs: Throughout the evening, there will be opportunities to share a story, a song, or simply be in community with others who loved her.

There will be complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, appetizers, and champagne for a toast available, but the bar will be open for those who wish to purchase a drink. We look forward to giving Jen the kind of Alley sendoff that would fill her heart as much as she filled ours.

With heavy hearts, we’re sharing that our beloved longtime bartender and friend, Jennifer “Jen” Davis
(June 29, 1958 – January 15, 2026) has passed.

Jen was a familiar face to so many of us - warm, sharp, feisty, hilarious, and steady behind the bar. She helped make our nights feel like home, and she’ll be deeply missed.

Please join us as we gather to celebrate her life, share stories, and raise a glass in her honor:
