Michigan Wine. Light Food Pairings. Good Company! 🍷

Wednesday we are hosting a tasting with ! Esteemed vinter and winemaker Andrew Backlin will be at the bar for four pours, food pairings and good ole’ fashioned conversation.

If you’re not familiar with Modales, let us be the first to introduce you! As the first fully certified organic winery in Michigan, they are proving that world-class, serious wines can be produced here in-state.

They shine in dry, concentrated whites and reds alongside elegant, sweet wines and off-dry rieslings. These wines have steadily changed perceptions of Michigan wine, converting skeptics into enthusiasts.

GRANOR DISTILLING TASTING 🥃

Our friends at are joining us at the bar tomorrow night for a special tasting of their spirits! Distiller Anna Rafalski will be your guide through each bottle, alongside small paired bites from our kitchen.

Granor takes a very hands-on approach to distilling. Organically grown, using heritage and landrace varieties of wheat, barley, and corn. Production is limited, so this is a great chance to try these local, small-batch bottles.

OUR FINAL GIVEBACK OF THE YEAR 🍽️🫶

This Thursday we’ll be hosting for our final giveback of the season! It’s been heartwarming to see the community showing up each night for all the organizations. We’ve raised glasses together, made new friends and contributed to local non-profits making a real difference in the area.

Benton Harbor Community Development Corporation’s Project Rebuild addresses the city’s affordable housing shortage by transforming neglected properties into safe, sustainable homes. Proceeds from the evening will support neighborhood stability and long-term community revitalization.

So far, we’ve donated over $6,000 across the organizations and we’re hoping to top it off with one more strong night. You dine. We donate. We hope to see you there!

BOS Wine is a winery that bridges Napa Valley expertise with Northern Michigan’s growing wine scene. They use bio-dynamic and organic farming practices to produce high-quality wines.

Founded in 2008, KOVAL began as the first distillery to open in Chicago since the mid-1800’s. With a simple grain-to-bottle approach, they mill, mash, distill, age and bottle everything on-site.

We might not be experts in the french language, but that doesn’t stop us from using their cheese! Our Wood Fired French Feta starts with a creamy Valbreso Feta, baked to golden perfection in a sherry gastrique in the open hearth. Finished with sweet caramelized shallots, crunchy pistachios, and served alongside toasted sourdough.

It’ll have you saying “Un French Feta, s’il vous plaît!” 👨‍🎨🥖
