Last Call. Final Final.
We love you. We love what we’ve built. But after nearly 12 unforgettable years, it’s time for us to move along.
Freds Den is officially closed, effective immediately.
Nearly 12 years. THOUSANDS of drinks. Questionable dance moves (by mostly Jess). Late, late nights. First dates, bathroom selfies, wedding parties, celebrations, breakups, and more W.T.H. moments than we could ever count.
Looking back, it’s pretty incredible to think about how many memories happened inside these four walls. We’ve watched people meet for the first time, fall in love, get married, celebrate milestones, and occasionally make decisions they probably wouldn’t make in the daylight. We’ve also seen plenty of last dates, sneaky links, and stories that are probably best left at Freds.
For the owners:
For Jess and Lucas, life has simply changed. We’re ready to pass the bar baton to someone who can bring some fresh energy into one of our favorite places.
For the staff:
A huge thank-you to every bartender who has been part of Freds over the years. You each left your own mark on this place, and we’re incredibly grateful for the time, energy, laughs, and late nights you gave us.
And an extra-special thank-you to our longest-running employee, Dusty. He found more ways than anyone to put his own special touch on Freds. Don’t worry — we plan to take care of him, and we’ll even get him job-ready for whatever comes next.
For the future:
We’re going to do a little fixing up and get Freds ready for its next chapter. If you’ve ever thought, “Maybe it’s my time to join the downtown nightlife,” slide into our DMs.
We’re not in a hurry to sell. We’re looking for the right person — someone who fits well into the mix of fellow downtown business owners and can bring their own energy and ideas to the space.
We also want to wish our neighbor, Jordan Koushkouski, the best of luck on his new venture at the Park Bar. Jordan has been a great customer for many years, a part-time Freds employee, and, most importantly, a friend to all of us. We’re excited to see what’s next for him.
At the end of the day, it’s been one hell of a ride.
Thank you for showing up, raising a glass, making memories, and helping make Casey’s dream a success.
We love you. We’ll miss you.
Cheers to Freds. ❤️🍻
