While carrying on the traditions of The Sutherland’s and their passion for Italian wines, The Evans family is dedicated to bringing Fredericksburg the best wines Italy has to offer. The Evans family has strong ties to Fredericksburg and wine, it takes them back four generations. In 1847, German immigrant John Christian Durst was assigned a 10-acre plot in Fredericksburg TX, which included a 120‘ m

ountain. Durst pushed through the brush and discovered the remains of a wooden cross. Durst erected the cross to honor the land God had provided his family. A winemaker himself, Durst was known to value his faith, family and friends over a good glass of wine. Four generations later, we hope our wine provides time for you to reflect on how important your faith, family and friends are.
