✨ More than beautiful glass, these windows are pieces of Fort Worth history.

Installed when the Fort Worth Union Depot first opened in 1899, the Ashton Depot's original stained glass windows tell the story of transportation at the turn of the century. Each window celebrates a different era of travel: the Prairie Schooner, the Pony Express, and the Steam Engine, a reminder that the depot was built before automobiles became part of everyday life.

Their journey, however, is just as remarkable as the scenes they depict.

During a major renovation in 1960, the windows were removed from the building. For years, it was believed they had been donated to a transportation museum. But when restoration of the depot began in 2003, an incredible discovery was made—they had actually spent more than 40 years tucked away in a dusty warehouse in downtown Fort Worth.

After 18 months of careful cleaning and restoration, the windows finally returned home in 2006, once again becoming one of The Ashton Depot's most iconic features.

Today, they stand alongside the building's original marble floors, tin ceilings, and historic woodwork. Connecting every guest to more than a century of Fort Worth history.

"Outstanding! My wife and I got married at The Ashton Depot and the whole process was outstanding.

Ashlee was beyond helpful and easy to talk to through the entire process; our butler Robin and captain Carmen made sure we were taken care of and always had a drink in our hand.

The building is beautiful and has so much history. And believe me, the food is awesome. Chef Cesar and his team did a stellar job on the brunch menu. I would always recommend The Ashton Depot to anyone."
