We press, ferment and serve apple c***r from our tap-room/production facility just south of downtown Bloomington, Indiana. All our batches are small batches and we love to experiment with different flavors, though we're personally partial to the more dry end of the spectrum. Our doors are on the West side of the Made Building of Artisan Alley, 222 W. 2nd Street, directly off the B-Line Trail.

TODAY!! Our last day at 222 W 2nd St. If you've been with us for a while you'll remember Fatima and Ben, who started this whole thing 9 years ago. They'll be behind the bar from 2-6 and would love to see your smiling faces :-) We also have DJ Babystar from 5-8, a popup by Sugar Hiccup (chef Erika Yochum who was worked with Feast, Oona, and Planted) from 6-8, and DJ Kashmere Dupree (Addison Rogers from Busman's Holiday) from 8-10. We'll be here from 2:00pm until at least 10:00, and the standard Sunday growler discount still stands. It will be your last chance to get a growler until we reopen at our new location in a few weeks!! Hope to see you all!!

Hi everyone!

As I’m sure a lot of you know, Friendly Beasts is not going to be able to stay at our current location for much longer. Our lease is not going to be renewed past August 31st, so we are anticipating our last day at 222 W 2nd St. to be Sunday, 8/23. It is certainly bittersweet as we really love our little taproom and the memories we’ve made here, but the GOOD NEWS is that we’ve signed a lease at a new location also located right on the B-Line trail! The new location at 10th and Fairview is just a few blocks from downtown, has a large covered porch with plenty of room for outdoor seating, has its own parking lot, and will offer us space for a little bit more indoor seating as well. Best of all, we’re going to be neighbors with Cicada Cinema’s brand new permanent location! We have a lot of work to do to get it ready for you, but we think you’re going to love it!

We want to thank everyone for all the support they’ve shown Friendly Beasts over the last 9(!!!) years. We are so lucky to have so many regular customers that have continued to show up and support us over the years, and are just as thankful if you just ended up here once for a birthday party or trivia night or for a visit from out of town and decided to try something new.

We have lots of events coming up over the next four weeks, both at the c***ry and around town, and we’ll still be open 7 days a week during that time. We’d love to see you and share a toast to nine amazing years, and one more for the years to come! Cheers, Bloomington!

Two events at the c***ry this weekend! Natalie Gillies art opening this Friday from 5:00pm-8:00pm, and live music from Bloomington's Step Twins on Sunday from 6:00pm-8:00pm. As always, no cover for either event and we are always all ages. Stop by and say hello, we'll have the air conditioning going!!
