Hi friends.
It’s been almost two weeks since the tragedy at Silver Rail. I’ve not known how to participate online (or really in life in general) without fully freezing and shutting down. My love goes out to everyone changed by this, and to all the families out there trying to make sense of this daily within their lives, and over and over realizing they can’t.
This Monday at San Simón, We’re raising money for BEAM, an organization supporting neurodivergent kiddos, that was housed at Silver Rail. BEAM needs a new home so it can continue its very important work. The fundraiser will last from open to close so come any time. 100% of sales will be donated. You don’t need to drink to participate. You can come and have a tea or a mocktail or just donate.
I hope this evening can help in some way. Our hearts are so broken. I genuinely believe being together helps with the pain. Sending all of our love to our community. Xoxo

Happy Bastille Day to all! This Sunday 7/19 we shall celebrate so many French stereotypes it will make you want to puke stripes. Don your frenchiest apparel and join us for a market at 3pm and waiter races at 6pm - service industry participants line up at 5:30 (ish). What server will earn the trophy this year?!?!

Last night was Taylor’s last night. And last month we said goodbye to Kayla, our longest working employee. She was in before we opened our doors. And goodbye to Frank and Willie (except he’s still here sometimes). So this terribly edited reel goes out to them, but it can’t come close to summing up my feelings for how much these guys and our entire staff mean to us. Kayla especially holds all the memories of our opening, and covid shut downs and every dance party. But who will start the dance party if not Taylor? And who will keep the party going if not for Frank’s outfit changes and Willie’s rollies that “don’t count”?
So I just want to say thank you to these special people, and to all of you for the the good times. Because they are really good. Despite the troubles of the world, this community has been a slice of magic.
But fear not! The torch has been passed to some very special folks joining our team, so the good times can roll on!
And finally, I feel just terrible about not saying a massive thank you to the community for voting us best bar () and second best bar () this year in . It’s been a doozy which is why it’s so dang hard to get on here and post. But goddamnit, THANK YOU!
Cheers to all of you, and to the passing of time with good friends, and to endings and beginnings being a bittersweet constant. We are grateful❤️
