Sometimes the strangest and most wonderful ideas happen when friends gather around a good bottle of wine and let their minds wander.
For example: Can wine be used to do some good? To help people who need a helping hand? And if so, what would a charity project look like that everyone involved could genuinely enjoy?
Enter (for you non-german speakers that hashtag would pretty translate into ).
That said, we've sent you a bottle of Herrenberg SILT 2020. Taste it, gift it, sell it, drink it with friends, turn it into a flower vase – whatever inspires you. Most importantly: enjoy it.
And with all due modesty, we'd like to ask a small favour.
If you'd like to take part in / , we'd love you to return us a bottle of wine in the very same box. Something that speaks to you. Something that has touched you and that you believe might touch someone else as well.
Nothing extravagant (please keep it below €30), but something with character. Something unexpected. A bottle that reflects your philosophy and your personality.
Now, here's the idea behind traubentausch / grapeswap.
The bottles we receive will be charity auctioned at an event here at Rebenhof (invitations will follow in good time – we'd be delighted if you could join us). The fun part – bidders will know who contributed each bottle, but they won't know what wine is actually inside.
People are familiar with blind tastings.
Your wines will be blind-auctioned.
We would be absolutely thrilled if you'd join us on this little adventure, let your imagination off the leash, and help us help others.
