It’s sad to see how many pubs locally have closed in a small radius over the last 20 years. So it’s no surprise Westmeath & Longford are up there in the stats.
A local pub is a hub that covers all. Happy times, grieving, counselling and stories which is up to you to figure out lies from truth.
Where ever your local is……. Go and meet people and talk about the weather, talk about GAA and the bog,. enjoy your few pints and keep the little locals going.
A new report shows a rapid decline in the number of pubs in Ireland, with 2,205 premises - or one-in-four - closing their doors since 2005.
