We know it’s nearly Fireworks Night, and Halloween was only a few days ago, but we’ve waited long enough before mentioning the C word… 🎄

Some places have history. Some have stories. The Queen's Oak seems to have both.

Plenty of stories (and a television investigation) have circulated about unexplained goings-on and the occasional late-night noise at The Queen's Oak, which is said to have a ghostly lady who still takes her usual spot at the bar.

Legend has it she's been around long enough to know what she likes, so the real question is whether she'd approve of your usual order 👀

𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹’𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸. 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿. 🍽️

After a return to school runs, packed lunches, work and everything else that seems to squeeze itself into the diary, Sunday should be about slowing down.

No shopping for ingredients.
No peeling a mountain of potatoes.
No washing up afterwards.

Just a hearty Sunday Roast, everyone around the same table, and some proper time together.

And whilst we don’t like to brag… 🤭 Our Sunday Roast was recently highly praised at a Brakespear award ceremony, where we came 2nd in our group. A fantastic achievement for the whole team and a pretty good reason to see what all the fuss is about!

So gather the family, leave the cooking to us and make Sunday what it should be.
