***"The Low Line" Live Thursday" 8pm

The Low Line is a new band featuring experienced performers
Afra Jurkiewicz and Joe Mansfield. Afra, a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist
based in the Welsh borders came to the banjo, after performing on piano
and accordion in Poland. Joe, a Bristol based strings player and singer, is
best known for fronting Joe & the Temperance Two on fiddle.
The duo formed in 2024 to explore music traditional to the Appalachian
Mountains. Centring their work around fretless banjo and viola (both strung
in special low tunings) the pair are drawn to the richness and depth of both
the material as well as their instruments.
Their live gigs are already receiving rave reviews “Impressive
musicianship… hypnotic… deep and resonant”

This monthly sessions has really grown into a supportive and safe environment where anyone can Come and share their own music. We keep trying to have a session outside around the fire pit but alas it just feels a wee bit nippy, so we ll opt to host the session in the gallery upstairs.....next month outside, fingers crossed! All welcome from 7.30om.

I did get one of our Well dressing before the heatwave got the better of it! 🤣😅
