❤️ A little personal update ❤️
I've been debating sharing this for a little while, but I feel it's important to let you all in on what's been happening behind the scenes.
Over recent months, life has thrown me a few challenges, and I've recently been diagnosed with stage 4 deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE). It's a condition that affects me more than people might realise, and with surgery on the horizon, there's a lot for me to navigate at the moment.
Alongside this, things have changed quite a bit at the pub. Since finding myself running things largely on my own, with a very small team to help, balancing everything has become a little harder than it once was.
Those who know me will know just how much this pub means to me. It's something I've put so much of myself into, and I want nothing more than to see it grow, thrive and continue to be a place our community loves.
I'm still here, still working hard behind the scenes and still doing everything I can to make that happen. ❤️
There may be times when things look a little different, when plans need to change or when I have to take things one day at a time. I'm learning to balance running the pub with looking after my health, and if I'm honest, it's not always easy.
I also wanted to take a moment to clear up something I've heard recently. There seems to be some talk that I'll be leaving the pub in October, and I just wanted to reassure everyone that this isn't the case. ❤️ My plans remain firmly focused on the pub and its future, and I'm looking forward to continuing to build on everything we've worked so hard to create.
I suppose I just wanted to share a little of what's going on, so that if things are different from time to time, you understand there's a lot happening behind the scenes.
I'm incredibly proud of what we're building here, and my diagnosis doesn't change how much I care about this pub or how much I want to see it succeed. I'll continue to do my best, even if that sometimes means doing things a little differently.
All I ask is for a little patience and understanding while I find my feet through this chapter of life. Your continued support, kind words and simply walking through our doors mean more than you probably know.
Thank you for being part of our pub and for bearing with me as I navigate it all. Here's to taking things one day at a time and continuing to make this place something special. ❤️🍻
