Hello everyone 👋
Many of you will already know, but I wanted to officially introduce myself. I’m Chris, and I’m delighted to be the new owner of The Milbourne Arms!
Some of our local residents may know me from The Hastings Arms up the road, where we had two great years before moving on in April, or from our sister site, The Delaval Arms in Seaton Sluice.
First of all, I want to say what a fantastic pub this already is. A big thank you must go to Dan and Lyndsey, who ran The Milbourne Arms for the last five years and helped make it such a well loved local venue.
We moved in around three weeks ago but have kept things fairly quiet while we found our feet, got to know the team, and started to understand what makes the pub tick.
If you’ve visited recently, you’ll have seen a mix of familiar faces and a few new ones behind the bar. That’s very much how we want to move forward: keeping the character, atmosphere, and community feel that people already love, while bringing in a few fresh ideas along the way.
We’ll be building on the activities and events already introduced, adding a few more of our own, and working hard to keep The Milbourne Arms as a welcoming local pub for everyone to enjoy.
For anyone we haven’t met yet, or anyone who fancies popping along, we’ll have live music next Friday 12th from around 7pm, along with a few bits of food to try from our upcoming menu.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more updates on food, drinks, events, and some of the plans we’re working on.
For now, thank you to everyone who has already made us feel so welcome. We’re really looking forward to getting stuck in and becoming part of the next chapter at The Milbourne Arms.
