Hey folks, we have some exciting news coming to the The Crafty Cold Well Micropub Monkseaton very 😮😋👌🏻
We will be honoured to be pouring “ Bitburger Pilsner “
We will be replacing this from a Bavarian Pilsner Mittel, however Mittel will be staying at our sister establishment The Crafty Wilson Ale House Monkseaton
Bitburger is a traditional German Pilsner that hav been brewing for many many many years, I have personally supped this when I was over in Berlin last year and I was hooked after the 1st ever pint 👌🏻
It’s taken some time to find a supplier who imports in, and now we will be having it here at our first ever pub.
Bitburger Premium Pils -
Without a doubt, pils (also called ‘pilsner’) is Germany’s favourite style of beer. Fans of this style of brewing enjoy the dry, bitter flavour and light colour that is typical of the beers it produces. The name originates from the Bohemian town of Pilsen in the Czech Republic, where it was first produced in 1842, and we’ve been brewing this style of beer to perfection here in Bitburg since 1909. We lay claim to using the term "Pilsener" as an official designated beer style in Germany, way back in 1883.
And over the years it’s grown quite popular – we’re incredibly proud that Bitburger Premium Pils is a popular beer in bars throughout Germany.
Our straw-coloured pilsner is crystal-clear and perfectly hopped, boasting a light taste and a lasting foam head with extra-fine bubbles. This all combines for a moment of pure pilsner enjoyment.
