Thank you to all the members that came to our AGM this evening.

For those that couldn't make it we will be posting the minutes in the coming week or so.

A couple of changes;
Luke Taylor, Adam Lewis and Paul Wickham have come off the committee and our three new committee members are; Chris Wakefield, Harry Saddleton and Dom Cornforth. They will be working with existing committee members; Thomas Dibbs, Andrew Jeffery and Caron Webster.

The past year has been challenging and full of price increases... electric, water, dog biscuits, stock, wages, you name it, it's gone up! Because of this it was decided tonight that most of our prices will be going up by 10p.

One big issue highlighted this evening was our membership numbers are falling, so if you are thinking about joining up, please do!

We will be looking at hosting more events in the future. If you have any ideas for events please do let us know!

We will also be putting in a suggestion box so we can listen to the opinions of our members and hopefully improve the Club for everyone.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Your continued support is vital to keeping the place open.

Thank you

In case you missed the post, we are on the look out for people to join our committee at our AGM on the 5th June. Do you fancy helping run this fantastic little club? If so, please pick up a form with our bar staff.
Forms need to be handed back to bar staff or any current committee member by the 29th May.

Do you want to help run our fantastic little Club?

You may have seen that our AGM is on the 5th June at 7pm. Part of the AGM will be the election of new members to the committee.

So if you would like to have your say and help out with the running of the place, please put your name down to join the committee by filling in a form that can be found at the bar.

Please note only members can be elected to the committee and must be proposed and seconded by other members. If more people apply than spaces available, there will be a ballot on the evening of the AGM. Applications must be handed back to Bar Staff or current committee members no later than Friday 29th May.

Our current committee members are;
Luke Taylor - ‘acting’ chair
Caron Webster - treasurer
Andrew Jeffery - general secretary
Thomas Dibbs - membership secretary
Adam Lewis - events/ marketing

Just when one bridge is finished (nearly) another bridge needs work!

This is another set back for our village, locals, people visiting and businesses. Let’s hope the temporary bridge will be sorted soon.

⚠️ Grosmont suspension bridge closed

Following a recent inspection, we have taken the difficult decision to introduce an emergency closure of the Grosmont suspension bridge.

Specialist contractors found structural issues on the underside of the bridge that have rapidly deteriorated since its last inspection and are now affecting the support it provides.

We appreciate the impact this will have on the community, so we are urgently exploring options to install a temporary footbridge and will provide updates as soon as possible.
