๐๐ฃโโ๏ธ CORONATION CUP WEEKEND โ A MASSIVE THANK YOU ๐ฃโโ๏ธ๐
What an incredible weekend it's been for Whitby Fishermen's Amateur Rowing Club.
Firstly, thank you to every single person who helped make the weekend such a success. Events like this simply do not happen without a huge team of people working together, many of whom are behind the scenes and often don't get the recognition they deserve.
A special thank you must go to our safety crews. We are required to have both a starter boat and safety boats on the water, and we're extremely grateful to:
โ Gregg McLaren and Magic 4
Titch our much loved race starter what a job you do
โ Kev Close and Fangtastic, with Adam and Nina keeping a watchful eye over all of our rowers throughout the weekend.
Thank you to all of the umpires from the three clubs, and especially to Ian, Nicola and Ste from Fisherlads for stepping up and helping out.
A huge thank you to our finishers โ Chloe, Yvonne, Kay and Lois. That's no easy task, making sure every crew is recorded correctly in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Your hard work is greatly appreciated.
To our Beach Marshals, Jamie and Dave, thank you for keeping everything running smoothly and in order (or at least trying to! ๐).
Thank you to our coxswains:Jamie, Graeme, Jaffa, Tracey, Alex, Luca, Hessy, Jorja and Yas. Your commitment and support throughout the weekend was fantastic.
The tea and cake stall was absolutely amazing. A massive thank you to Jill and her mum and dad. What a fantastic job you did keeping everyone fed and watered.
A huge thank you also to our bar team. Special thanks to our bar manager Rob, and to Julie and Chloe for all their hard work throughout the weekend. We'd also like to thank all of the members who helped with glass collecting and keeping the bar area tidy โ your efforts were greatly appreciated and helped everything run smoothly.
Thank you to Kay and Tracey for selling raffle tickets and blind cards all weekend. These may seem like small jobs, but they raise vital funds that help keep the club going and pay for repairs and maintenance.
A special mention to Rich, Jess ,Adam, John who seemed to be everywhere at once, helping with countless jobs and keeping things ticking over.
To all the parents, families, friends and supporters who came down to cheer everyone on โ thank you. The encouragement and support could be heard for miles around and means so much to all of our rowers.
To our juniors and new rowers taking part in their first races โ you were absolutely amazing. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.
To our experienced juniors โ WOW! The hard work and dedication you're putting in is really showing, and it's fantastic to see.
And finally, to all of our senior rowers, thank you for your training, commitment and willingness to help wherever needed. Your support for the club never goes unnoticed.
I'm sure I've probably missed someone, and if I have, I do apologise. Please know that every single person who helped played an important part in making the weekend a success.
So, from myself and Dave, a huge heartfelt THANK YOU to every one of you.๐๐๐๐
