💥 NEW OWNERSHIP UPDATE 💥

We would like to provide you with an update regarding The Union Inn Bar & Restaurant, Tremadog.

Please see the message below from the New Owners, Kevin & Catrin from the Grapes Maentwrog.

“We would like first of all to wish Peta and her family all the very best for the future. We know what the Union meant to you all and how hard you have worked over the years. Good luck!!

We can confirm that the purchase of the site took place end of August and we have much to do.

We are fully committed to totally transform the Union to the highest possible of standards.

We are unable to commit to timescales as this is now in the hands of the planning department, but we will keep you updated on the progress.

We anticipate creating up to 25 full / part time jobs, details will be released over the coming months. We really appreciate everyone’s patience during the closure as we know many of you want the Union open.

We are looking forward to seeing you all very soon.

♥️ One final farewell ♥️

Well, the day has finally arrived. After many years of laughter, memories, good times, late nights and very early mornings, the sale of the pub has completed today and it’s time for us to say a proper farewell.

This place has been such a huge part of our lives. It has been so much more than just a pub. It has been a place where locals have met, friendships have been made, celebrations have been shared and memories have been created.

We've welcomed so many wonderful people through the doors over the years, from our lovely local customers who became familiar faces and friends, to holiday makers who stopped by and became part of the pub family.

We also want to say a huge thank you to all the staff who have worked with us over the years. So many people have played their part in making the pub what it has been, and we will always be grateful for the hard work, laughs and memories we've shared.

And of course, there are some people who have become so much more than staff. Nia and Owen, you both know how much you mean to us. You have become part of our family, and we really can't thank you enough for everything over the years. You will always have a very special place in our hearts.

The support from the local community over the years has meant more than we can ever put into words. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, popped in for a drink, joined us for an event, recommended us to others or simply came through the door and made the pub what it was.

We'd also like to wish Kevin and Catryn the very best of luck as they start this exciting new chapter.

We genuinely can't wait to come back, have a drink and see what you do with the place.

And having already seen what you've done with the grapes, we have a feeling there are going to be some very exciting times ahead!

What a weekend! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to see Mum on her last weekend behind the bar. 🥹🍻

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better send off. An amazing number of people turned up to say farewell, and it has been so lovely seeing so many familiar faces, old friends, regulars and people who have been part of the pub’s story over the years.

We’ve absolutely loved seeing everyone yesterday and today, hearing all the stories, sharing the laughs and raising a few glasses together. ❤️

Mum has been completely overwhelmed by the love and support, and we know she will treasure this weekend for a very long time.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🍻❤️

❤️ A little update from us ❤️

This Saturday will be a very special night at the pub, as it will be Mum’s last night behind the bar before the pub closes for a little while and the new owners take over.

It’s a strange feeling knowing that after all these years, Mum’s time at the pub is coming to an end. There have been so many memories made here, so many familiar faces, laughs, celebrations and probably a few stories that are best left behind the bar! 😂❤️

And of course, this chapter isn’t just about Mum. Owen and Nia are such a huge part of our extended family, and they have been part of so many of the memories, laughs and moments that have happened here over the years. ❤️

We also can’t forget all of the amazing staff who have worked at the pub over the years. So many people have walked through those doors, worked alongside Mum, made friendships and become part of our extended pub family. We will genuinely miss seeing so many of you and it will be very strange not having everyone around. ❤️

And then there are all of you, our customers, regulars, friends and familiar faces who have supported the pub over the years. Whether you’ve been coming in for decades, have only recently discovered us, or have simply popped in now and again, thank you. You have all been such a huge part of the pub’s story.

So, we’d love for you all to come out this Saturday for one last drink with Peta 🍻❤️

Come and have a laugh, share some memories, raise a glass and give Mum the send off she deserves.

The pub will then close for a little while before the new owners reopen and begin their own chapter.
It really is the end of a very special chapter for us, and while there are definitely some mixed emotions, we are incredibly grateful for all the memories, friendships and people that have come along with it.

We'd just like to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful customers for your patience and understanding over the past few days.

Due to travelling for a family funeral, we had to make the difficult decision to close early on Sunday night. With limited staff available, this was the only option.

We'd also like to apologise that we didn't post about the early closure in advance. With everything that was happening, it simply slipped our minds.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Our small team works incredibly hard behind the scenes, and we're so grateful for everything they do. We're also incredibly thankful to have such a supportive community of customers, and your understanding during a difficult time has meant a great deal to our family.

We're now back to our normal opening hours and look forward to welcoming you all as usual. Thank you again for your continued support. ❤️
