HOSPITALITY JOB OPPORTUNITIES AT SPOONER’S

The return of steam trains is fast approaching as we continue making preparations for the start of a new season on Saturday, 21st of March 2026!

A big part of these preparations is the building of our hospitality team at our Spooner’s catering outlet in Porthmadog Harbour Station and there are currently several opportunities available on our website.

We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

• Head Chef
• Food and Beverage Supervisor
• Bartender
• Food Preparation Assistant
• Pot Wash

Spooner’s is a focal point of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways, serving passengers, visitors, volunteers and locals throughout the season. Busy morning and afternoon train departures, relaxed evenings in the bar and plenty in between make Spooner’s a lively and rewarding place to work.

We’re recruiting for a number of seasonal positions, including Bartenders, Food & Beverage Assistants, Kitchen & Food Preparation Assistants, Retail Assistants, On-Train Stewards, Carriage Cleaners, Car Park ‘Meet & Greet’ Hosts and other Front of House roles.
