My work is inspired by the inland and coastal landscape of Cornwall.

From initial drawings taken from sketchbooks, the main starting point for my paintings, combine the ‘traces’ or ‘footprints’ left by places or spaces visited in Cornwall.

The work also hopes to create an emotive response or connection to the subject matter using a combination of the drawn line, colour and the gestural application of paint.
