🤠 TODAY’S THE DAY… RED DEAD COUNTRY AT THE CROWN!

Before you dust off those cowboy boots, here are a few things to know for today…

The garden is exclusively for event ticket holders, who’ll also have exclusive access to the garden bar. Inside the pub remains open as normal, so if you’re popping in without joining the event, you’re still very welcome!

And yes, garden tables and pods ARE bookable for the event! Get your gang together and get a spot reserved so you can make yourselves comfortable.

Haven’t got your tickets yet? We’ve still got a few available on the door, on a first come, first served basis. Come along early if you’re hoping to join us!

The weather’s looking clear, but bring a jacket in case the temperature drops later. Even dead cowboys feel the cold! 🧥

And don’t forget the fancy dress! We want to see your best DEAD COWBOYS & COWGIRLS, with £100 cash for the adult winner and £20 cash for the kids’ winner. There’s money riding on those outfits, so give it your best shot!

The food shop, the bills, the kids growing out of their shoes again… it soon adds up, doesn’t it?

We know the cost of living crisis has put a lot of families under pressure, and finding room in the budget for a meal out isn’t always easy. We want to do our bit to make it more affordable.

At The Crown, kids eat for just £1 with a full paying adult, Monday to Friday, 12–8pm.

It’s a small way we can help, and hopefully a chance to get everyone round the table, enjoy some good food and have a break from the cooking. We’ll take care of the washing up too — always a bonus!

🎃 HALLOWEEN WEEKEND AT THE CROWN 👻

We’ve got a properly packed weekend coming up — live music, country, pop punk, fancy dress, magic and a chilled Sunday session to finish it all off.

We kick things off on our inside stage with The Centurions bringing rock anthems with a big dose of pop punk.

Expect big tunes, plenty of guitars and a great Friday night atmosphere.

Halloween itself is going BIG.

From 3pm–10pm, our outside stage becomes a full-on Halloween country party with The Other Truckers headlining and Is It Country? also performing live.

🎤 KARAOKE TONIGHT AT THE CROWN – FROM 8PM!

There’s always one mate who’s “definitely not singing”… then ends up doing three songs and a duet. You know who you are. 😂

Come and get the weekend started with us at The Crown Selsey tonight! We’re handing the mic over to you for an evening of karaoke favourites, big singalongs and plenty of laughs.

The Other Truckers are HEADLINING our outside stage, with Is It Country? also performing. Add a full Halloween country production, themed food and cocktails, and you’ve got ONE HELL OF A HOEDOWN.

SUNDAY SESSIONS WITH EVA NICOLE 🎶

Every now and then, a young talent comes along that really makes you stop and listen… and Eva Nicole is definitely one of them!

At just 16 years old, Eva has a voice and a confidence that are quite remarkable for someone so young. She’s an incredibly talented young singer, and we’re absolutely delighted to be welcoming her back to The Crown this afternoon.

Eva will be performing LIVE on our inside stage from 3pm today, and we’d love you to come along and show her some support. There’s something really special about watching young local talent doing what they love, especially when they’re this good!

And what better way to spend a Sunday? A lovely roast dinner, a few drinks, some fantastic live music and good company.

Our Sunday roasts are being served from 12–6pm, so why not make an afternoon of it?

There’s always one mate who “doesn’t do karaoke”… then ends up singing three songs and organising a duet. Bring that one.

We’re handing the mic over to you tonight at The Crown for a proper Friday night singalong! Pick your favourite, get your mates behind you and give it a go. A brilliant voice is entirely optional — we’re here for a good time, not a record deal.

It’s family friendly and all singers are welcome, but there’s no pressure to take the mic. You’re just as welcome to settle in with a drink, enjoy the music and give our singers a bit of encouragement.

Who’s joining us at The Crown this weekend? ❤️

We’ve got some brilliant live music lined up, football on the screens and, on Friday, we’re trusting you lot with the microphone… what could possibly go wrong? 😉

🎤 Friday 9th October
It’s a Karaoke Thing from 8pm! Family friendly and everyone’s welcome, whether you’ve got a beautiful voice or just bags of enthusiasm. Bring that mate who says “I’m not singing” and then won’t hand the microphone back. You know the one.

🎸 Saturday 10th October
We kick off with Arsenal v Leeds United at 12:30pm, followed by Manchester United v Tottenham at 5:30pm.

Then we’re delighted to welcome Cruise Control back to our inside stage from 8pm! Party classics, indie anthems and plenty of songs you’ll know every word to. Get your friends together, join us for something to eat and make a proper night of it. We love seeing this place full of people having a good time.

🎶 Sunday 11th October
We’re serving the best Sunday roast in Selsey from 12–6pm! Bring the family, come hungry and leave the cooking and washing-up to us. That’s Sunday done properly. 😋

The football gets going with Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest and Hull City v Everton, both at 2pm.

Our lovely Sunday Sessions follow with Eva Nicole on the inside stage from 3pm. Settle in, enjoy the music and let us look after you for a bit. There’s no need to rush off.

There’s more football at 4:30pm, with Liverpool v Manchester City rounding off the afternoon’s fixtures. ⚽

🍻 Monday 12th October
For those of us reluctant to let the weekend go, Coventry City v Newcastle United is live at 8pm. A perfectly reasonable excuse to pop back in!

Whether you’re a familiar face or joining us for the first time, we’d genuinely love to see you. A pub’s nothing without the people in it, and we’re very lucky with ours. ❤️
