☀️🍹 WE’RE OFF TO FIND OUT WHAT THIS “TIME OFF” THING IS ALL ABOUT 🍹☀️**

Well… what a summer😅

After an absolutely crazy busy few months, we’ve decided that it’s probably time we remembered what our beds, sofas and perhaps even a sun lounger look like😂

So, we’ll be CLOSED from **Monday 7th September**, reopening on **Wednesday 16th September**.

It’s time for us and our hard-working team to hang up the aprons, put down the bar cloths and escape into the sunshine for some much-needed — and very much deserved — time to relax, recharge and unwind. ☀️🍹🏖️

A massive THANK YOU to every single one of you who has supported us over what has been a fantastic summer. ❤️

We’ve loved seeing so many familiar faces, welcoming new ones and surviving the exceptionally warm kitchen, working in the sunshine, the busy services, the rare eclipse and everything else that’s been thrown at us 😂

Our amazing team have worked incredibly hard throughout, so now it’s their turn to enjoy some well-earned time off too. 👏❤️

We’ll be back **Wednesday 16th September**, hopefully rested, refreshed and ready to do it all over again

Until then… cheers to a few days of doing absolutely nothing 🍻😎☀️

🥵🔥 **WE SURVIVED THE HEAT** 🔥🥵

Well… yesterday was certainly one for the record books🌡️☀️

Our kitchen reached a **staggering 51°C+** while we battled through the heat😳🔥 That’s more than a little warm — it was absolutely **boiling** in there

A huge **THANK YOU** to our incredible team for working through such challenging conditions and continuing to do their very best for our customers. ❤️👏

And a massive thank you to **all our customers for your patience, understanding and support** while we battled on through the extreme temperatures. It really was appreciated. ❤️

🌡️ **Thankfully, today is predicted to be a little cooler at around 31°C!** 🙌

We’re hoping that feels positively refreshing after yesterday😂

We’ll still be keeping a close eye on the kitchen temperatures throughout the day and, as always, **our team’s safety and wellbeing comes first**. If conditions become too hot, service may need to pause or stop.

But for now… fingers crossed for a slightly more manageable day! 🤞☀️

🥵🔥 **IT’S HOTTER THAN… WELL, WE’RE RUNNING OUT OF WAYS TO DESCRIBE IT!** 🔥🥵

We thought yesterday was hot… but today is taking things to a whole new level! 🌞🔥

It’s currently **36°C outside** — but here’s the crazy bit…

🌡️ **Our kitchen is already reading 41°C… BEFORE WE’VE EVEN OPENED!** 😳🥵

Once the ovens, grills and everything else get fired up, the kitchen can be **more than 10°C hotter than outside**, so goodness knows what temperature we’ll be reaching later! 🔥🌡️

We’ll be doing our very best to keep food service running today:

🍴 **Lunch: 12pm–1.45pm**
🍴 **Evening: 6pm–7.30pm**

However, **our kitchen team’s safety and wellbeing comes first**. If temperatures become too extreme, **food service may need to pause or, if necessary, stop completely**. We hope everyone understands that we simply cannot put our fantastic team at risk.

A huge thank you to our amazing kitchen team for even contemplating working in these conditions — **41°C before opening is absolutely ridiculous!** ❤️👏

Thankfully, the bar is fully stocked with **plenty of lovely cold drinks** 🍺🍷🧊, so if you’re looking for somewhere to escape the heat, we’ll have something cold waiting for you!

🌞 **What an amazing night!** 🌞

Last night, Wednesday 12th August, our beer garden was the perfect place to watch the solar eclipse — and what a turnout we had!

We had people arriving with welding helmets, homemade viewers and even a group of bikers who brought their own eclipse glasses and kindly shared them around so everyone could get an amazing view. 😎🌞

It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying the experience together, sharing glasses, views and plenty of excitement.

**A great night was had by all!** 🌙✨

🥵🔥 **HOT, HOTTER... AND STILL GOING!** 🔥🥵

Well... here we are again! 🌞🔥

The temperature is currently hitting a **scorching 34°C outside** — and our kitchen has gone one step further, sitting at a rather ridiculous **39C!** 🥵🌡️

Yes, you read that right... **39°C in the kitchen!** 😳🔥 And that's before the ovens, grills and everything else really gets going!

We'll be serving food as usual today:

🍴 **Lunch: 12pm–1.45pm**
🍴 **Evening: 6pm–7.30pm**
..or until our kitchen starts feeling like the surface of the sun! ☀️😂

As always, the **safety and wellbeing of our fantastic kitchen team comes first**. If temperatures become too extreme once everything is fired up, we may need to stop food service earlier than planned.

Thankfully, the bar is still fully stocked with **plenty of lovely cold drinks** 🍺🍷🧊 — so if the kitchen can't tempt you in, the prospect of a cold pint certainly might! 😉

A **massive thank you** to our incredible team for battling through these temperatures and continuing to keep everyone fed and topped up with drinks. They deserve medals... and possibly their own personal swimming pool! 😂🏊‍♂️

With so many spaces offering panoramic views, we can’t think of anywhere better to experience this rare cosmic event than from our beer garden with a pint of beer or glass of wine.

🥵🔥 HOT, HOT... STILL HOT! 🔥🥵

Remember last week's heatwave? Well... apparently the weather didn't get the memo that it was supposed to cool down! 🌞

With temperatures around **33°C outside**, our kitchen is currently sitting at a lovely **35.5°C... and that's BEFORE we've even switched anything on!** 😳🌡️

We'll be serving food as usual:
🍴 **Lunch: 12pm–1.30pm**
🍴 **Evening: 6pm–7.30pm**
..or until the kitchen starts resembling the inside of a pizza oven! 🍕🔥

As always, the safety and wellbeing of our fantastic kitchen team comes first, so if temperatures become too extreme once everything's fired up, we may have to stop food service earlier than planned.

The bar, thankfully, remains fully stocked with cold drinks, so if nothing else, pop in and help us test whether a pint really is the best way to survive a British heatwave! 🍺🍷🍦

🌞🔥 THE HEAT IS STILL ON! 🔥🌞

Following on from yesterday's post... it's another very warm one today, and it looks like this spell of hot weather is set to continue right through the weekend! ☀️🥵

Even with our reduced hours, the kitchen is still incredibly hot. Yesterday, with **no ovens or fryers running**, temperatures still climbed to **over 42°C**! 🌡️😳

🍽️ Food service today:
⏰ **12pm – 1pm**
⏰ **6pm – around 7pm**

As always, please bear with our kitchen team as they're working in conditions that are better suited to baking bread than cooking your dinner! 👨‍🍳🔥

🎶 This evening we have our popular **Folk Club from 8pm**! 🎻🎤

Why not come along, enjoy a drink, join in with the singing, or simply sit back and soak up the atmosphere? It's always a fantastic evening and everyone is welcome.

🍺 We'll have plenty of cold drinks ready, so pop in, cool down, and enjoy a great night of music and company.
