And so it starts, old roof stripped off, repairs to a few rafters, now felt and battened, small repair to render under kitchen window then slating tomorrow.

This Monday the 12th marks 12 months to the day that The Tap House was flooded.
We have recieved no compensation from anyone to address the damage.
We now have enough funds to start the work, Tuesday will be clearance day emptying the debris etc, will will the replace the leaking roof with genuine Welsh slate and replace the ruind floor with concrete beam and block to ensure if it floods again it will not collapse like the old floor.
The building will be completely redecorated and upstairs will be changed to a classic arcade area and a proposed distillery in the rear section.
Downstairs will be the bar, snug and a small outdoor courtyard area.

At last work has started on The building, looking forward to reopening as soon as we are able.

Today we received a 1 star review from someone called Paul Walker, who we believed died in a car crash after staring in the F and F franchise.
We have not been open for 7 months so to review us today was a bit unfair.
TBH if you are trying to ruin our business do your home work first and use your real name, or better still arange for us to have a chat.

The first change to The Tap House is a change of name to help us relaunch the business, It will reopen as 'The Jug and Bottle' the old coloquial name for the building when it was used as Alton Court brewery Tap House.
More changes will be announced as we move towards the reopening
