Dear Norwich, we have lost someone incredibly important in the local music scene and with huge love and respect we would like to pay tribute.

We have been working with Damien (Sure D) for almost 20 years.

If we wanted an exceptional soundtrack to a new event we’d call Damien.

If we wanted to warm a knowledgeable crowd into a fuzz of music appreciation we’d call Damien.

If wanted the party to go off, we would call Damien.

This guy knew how to work a room, how to make people smile with music and how to command a vibe.

Always professional, always passionate and always fun.

Speaking on behalf of our teams past and present, Damien became so much more than a DJ to us.

He was such an important part of what we do. We all loved him as a DJ, a friend and a musical legend.

We’re really gunna miss you man. The air waves at the Rumsey will never quite be the same.

Rest in peace my dude. So much love ❤️
