BIG. RED. BOX. news.

So this box… often the backdrop to a TikTok but also a place where some have found themselves having a wee (and not to mention what else ahem) has sat unloved but admired in equal measure in our nook of Norwich for decades.

Well now finally, thanks to our brilliant friends at The Writers Centre and the dedication of Jo, Paula and our little red box committee we are really quite chuffed to announce that as of this weekend we now have the keys and with National Centre for Writing are OFFICIAL CUSTODIANS!

Next year we are planning to curate something quite bonkers and brilliant with this funny little space involving local artists, writers and stories from around the City.

But for now it needs a spruce. If you’re a skilled decorator with a love of glossy red enamel and gold gilt WE NEED YOU!

A few weeks ago, we went to visit the brilliant bunch to discover more about their Italian w**es and the differing regions they’ve come from.

We are delighted to now be able to share some of them here with you also and are currently re-stocking the shelves with excitement… what a way to start a week!

Over the weekend we had the absolute pleasure of visiting to learn more about their journey and the joyful w**e they produce here in Norfolk…

We have always been huge fans of their Charmat Rose and it was a wonderful experience to see exactly where it comes from.

Well well well. What an absolute thrill it is to welcome the ‘Norwich Forever’ Garnet Pale Ale to the shelves thanks to the exceptional Ampersand Brew Co WE LOVE IT!

Available to drink in or take away at both the pub and the stores.
