On Friday 28th August, we had the honour of hosting our first official Bhurty Golf Day, organised by Jim Christie, one of our fantastic regulars!🏌🏼♀️⛳️
Jim came to us with the idea, and decided he also wanted to raise some money for our chosen charity - Lottie’s Way - The Charlotte Hope Foundation. A charity founded in 2024, in memory of a young girl Charlotte Hope, also known as one of my (Sophie) closest friends. Charlotte sadly died aged 19 in 2022, in a car crash due to a driver under the influence. She was a trainee teacher, and an avid volunteer for her Shawbury community, and with her Dad’s charity Taking Football to Africa and Beyond⚽️🌎 ! Lottie’s Way, now continues the inspirational work she would have continued to do, distributing funds and donations to communities, schools and orphanages around the world through education, food programs and more. I am also a proud trustee and volunteer of both charities, and have been on all the charity trips since Charlotte’s passing, to see firsthand the important impact she had, and continues to have.
We are super grateful and proud to announce, that the golf day raised an impressive £1253 !! A huge thank you to Jim who organised the day, to Macdonald Hill Valley Golf , and to all our regulars and customers who took part and donated towards the raffle!🩷🩷
