✨ ONE MAGICAL YEAR AT THE ODDIES ✨
A year ago today, we took over The Oddies.
We had lots of ideas, plenty of hopes and dreams, and probably no idea quite what the next twelve months would bring!
What we hoped, more than anything, was that we could create a proper community pub — somewhere warm and welcoming, filled with laughter, good times and good people. A place where you really could come as a customer and leave as a friend.
And twelve months later, that’s exactly what you’ve made it. ❤️
There have been busy nights and quiet pints, live music and bingo, quizzes and Sunday lunches, celebrations, fundraising, pizzas, parties and more laughs than we could possibly count.
But when we look back on our first year, the thing that makes us proudest isn’t any one event or achievement.
It’s the people.
To everyone who has walked through our door, supported us, recommended us, joined in, laughed with us and — most importantly — become our friends: thank you.
And to our wonderful Team Oddies — thank you for caring about this little pub as much as we do and for helping make it the special place it has become.
You have made our first year truly magical.
So… enough of the sentimental stuff. There’s only one appropriate way to celebrate. We need a party! 🥳
Join us this Saturday 5 September for a BBQ, with DJ Mattie providing the tunes, and let’s celebrate our first birthday properly.
We’d love to see as many of our Oddies family there as possible. ❤️
