Introducing "Beautiful Nights Nairn" New venue is the old Fisher Town Links School run by the Kirk right up until the 60's so all the fisher kids got an education. tickets were £8 with a glass of wi

ne/beer with local Support Brandon Midlane a local support and time to view the art , 20 Kickets SOLD OUT. The idea being we will also stage bigger shows in The Little Theatre, Nairn, next door and folks who take a chance on these (world class) but lesser known artists, will get priority for tickets for the bigger shows. Let's try build a community of folks that want and understand "Beautiful Nights" in Nairn. Thanks to Shaun MacDonald for setting this up for us.

This is the beauty of an open mic and particularly of the music cooperative that has become The Nairn Bandstand Sunday Sessions scene.

Rebekah Robinette Graber is from Nashville now resident in Nairn Scotland - she's a singer as you can clearly hear - but until this moment she hadn't sang in public for 20 years - five minutes earlier and before a quick run through Lewis, Chic (Bad Actress) and Rebekah hadn't met.

I'm posting this to mark the Historically magic moment and in appreciation of the supportive nature of music in my wee home town as I now count down the days till I leave for Canada.

I'm reliably informed Rebekah Robinette Graber will be singing today at the Bandstand Bar open mic.

This; a meeting decades in the making.

I hadn't seen Deek Jackson since he was in Fife Celtic Punk rockers Alto Cirrus, they were Tennent's Live favourite and toured up here in the Highlands many times in the late 80' - they supported and travelled all over Scotland with Wee Free Kings, members of whom went off to join The Waterboys Fishermen's Blues band of gipsies in Galway soon after, members of AC also played in Big Huge Massive around the watering holes and village halls at thon vibrant time for Scottish indie music.

Here is Deek busking Inverness and drawing a crowd of the curious with the power of his presence and through his force of nature - certainly drew me in I'm very glad to say.

When. I introduced myself it all became apparent - he said we've met Rob, that's when Deek also told me I'd booked his duo Skunnert for the Potting Shed Stage at Belladrum this year - it all slowly fell into place for me.

Blimey! What a treat!! this is like finding Dick Gaughan on a street corner singing 'No Gods and Precious Few Heroes' to this pilgrim.

Skunnert pay The Belladrum Potting Shed Stage Saturday 4.30 pm August 1st down in Moose Hollow. NOT TO BE MISSED!!

Collated by iMtv's Rob Ellen from acts that have impressed on his worldwide and local Stravaig's.

The Potting Shed stage is a staple of the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, known for its eclectic atmosphere and focus on roots, folk, and Americana music. Over the years, it has evolved from a small, intimate performance space into a key part of the "Moose Hollow" arena, which often merges the vibes of the old Potting Shed with the cosmic country stylings of the Trailer Trash Stage.

Belladrum launches this year's programme 6pm on this Thursday, we follow up with a show packed full of acts that are playing this year's PShed

Belladrum is 30 31 July August 1 - tickets from
