Ground nesting bird season is underway. If you are enjoying the outdoors please help protect nesting birds by:

✅ Keeping dogs under control on a short lead and away from nesting sites
✅ Sticking to marked paths
✅ Giving nesting birds plenty of space
✅ Taking litter home
✅ Avoiding disturbance of nests, eggs, and chicks

Even small disturbances can cause birds to abandon their nests, putting vulnerable young at risk.

Did you know some lambs need to be bottle fed?

During lambing season, not every ewe is able to feed her lambs naturally. Sometimes a mother may reject a lamb, not produce enough milk, or have more lambs than she can care for. When that happens, shepherds step in to make sure the lambs get the nutrition and care they need to survive and thrive.

Bottle-fed lambs require regular feeds day and night, especially in their first few weeks of life. It’s a big commitment, but it gives vulnerable lambs the best possible start.

A wee mystery to be solved - can anyone help?

Can you help solve a local history mystery?!

We’ve been asked if we can help to identify the gentleman in this early 20th century photograph, believed to have been taken around the Kilravock area and possibly connected with the Lean family.

Does anyone recognise him, or know anything about the photograph or family connection? We would be very grateful for any thoughts, suggestions or clues.

A short clip from one of our fields yesterday — usually solitary, it was lovely to see a group of hares playfully running across the field before disappearing again.
