There is always a last minute rush to obtain wreaths for some organisations for Remembrance. This causes extra cost and unnecessary hassle for our limited volunteer staff. Our annual duck race and bbq day in aid of legion charities - it was a great day !

Our visit to Baan Dek Orphanage School in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.
We supplied toiletries, pens, pencils, jotters, sweets etc and cash for 100 children.
This was possible due to the generosity of our Legion Committee, Staff and Members who donated money ! A big thank you to all who donated ! The children were so happy as they remembered us from last year - it was a lovely experience !

Our visits to the Don Rak Cemetery with water and fruit to the gardeners. They do an amazing job in really hot temperatures to keep the cemetery in excellent condition - well done to them!

BEST KEPT WAR MEMORIAL COMPETITION 2026

The following local War Memorials will undergo inspection in the next few days during the Highlands & Islands phase of the annual competition:

Nairn & District
Auldearn
Ardclach

This is by no means a trophy chasing crusade, rather, it is a way of ensuring our Memorials are maintained properly.

The results of this phase will determine which Memorials go forward to the National judging stage in their respective categories.
