The Cottage is a family-friendly bar, restaurant and function space at the heart of the Maryburgh community. We are Dog friendly in the bar.

Enjoy hearty Highland food, local drinks, events and celebrations, all set within spacious grounds — there’s something for everyone. Come and feast on homemade traditional pub food which is all sourced locally and at the same time appreciate the beautiful scenery of the large garden surrounding the building. If it's cold outside the tranquil views can be enjoyed from the conservatory where you can enjoy warm food and beverages while watching the variety of different birds in the aviary . Once you have had your meal, why not savor a drink in the separate bar with many choices of beverages and comfortable seating with log burning stove on those winter nights. If there is a special occasion on the horizon, book your party in the function room which can hold up to 60 people. The Cottage Bar and Restaurant is easily accessible with no need to struggle with parking as there is a large car park on the premises.

Our Christmas Menu is here and festive bookings are officially OPEN🥂🎅🏼

Available from 3rd to 24th December, our festive menu is perfect for Christmas catch-ups, family & friends gatherings and the annual work Christmas party.

Drinks packages can also be arranged to make organising the night that little bit easier.

We will require a £10 deposit for parties of 8 or more & a pre order to help keep things running smoothly for your event.

We reckon December dates will fill up quickly, particularly for larger groups, so we’d recommend getting booked up soon 🎅🏽

☀️ We’re still on our holidays here at the Cottage… but Christmas is coming! 🎄

The Cottage is still closed while we enjoy the last few days of our holiday, but behind the scenes we’re already getting ready for a very busy festive season!

🎄 Our Christmas Menu will be shared very soon, and we’ll be taking bookings for Christmas lunches, dinners and festive get-togethers throughout December.

If you’re planning the work Christmas night out, a family gathering or simply an excuse to get everyone together, keep an eye on our page, Christmas bookings will be opening shortly! 🥂✨

We’ll be back open and raring to go on Wednesday 16th September and we can’t wait to see you all again.

☀️ We’re off on our holidays! 🍹

Today is our last day before Team Cottage takes a little break to rest & recharge. We do still have some availability today if you fancy joining us for a drink or a good feed beforehand! 🍴🍻

We’ll be closed from Saturday 5th September and will reopen at 12pm on Wednesday 16th September.

Online bookings will remain open while we’re away, so you can still get your tables booked for when we return.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us and for keeping us so wonderfully busy.

We do have a wee festive update to share with you whilst we’re away so watch this space 🎄

Who’s got their team sorted for our Sophie’s Story Pub Quiz?

We’re getting ready for a brilliant night at The Cottage, raising money and awareness for Sophie’s Story and their mission to help build a dedicated children’s hospice right here in the Highlands.

It’s a beautiful morning here in Maryburgh.

We’re open for lunch & drinks 12-2pm today, and this evening we are open for drinks only 🍻.

Our kitchen is closed briefly later today whilst we undertake some essential staff training.

We’re delighted to be hosting a Pub Quiz Night at The Cottage in support of Sophie’s Story ❤️

Sophie’s Story is a fantastic local organisation with an incredibly important mission- raising awareness and funds to help build a dedicated children’s hospice right here in the Highlands. We’d love to get the community behind them and help raise as much as we can on the night.
