Sometimes a message lands in our inbox that genuinely means the world to the whole team.

Today, after joining us for Sunday lunch, a customer took the time to send us this wonderful message:

“In 51 years I have never tasted such a dinner as yours… the meat and gravy were exceptional and the vegetables were out of this world.”

“I truly don’t believe you can be beaten.”

“Thank you to all of your staff for one truly wonderful experience and we will be booking to come again very, very soon.”

For someone who told us they have struggled with their appetite for many years — and rarely eats vegetables — to tell us they ate everything on the plate is probably one of the loveliest compliments our kitchen could receive.

There’s tiramisu… and then there’s this. 😍

Layers of rich coffee-soaked sponge, creamy mascarpone and cocoa, served with crunchy amaretti biscuits and finished with a generous pour of cream. ☕🍫🤍🍪

Creamy, coffee-rich, a little boozy-feeling without being too heavy, with that gorgeous almond crunch from the amaretti. 🤎

Add a little sunshine ☀️, a table in the garden 🌿 and perhaps a coffee on the side… perfection.
