Your favourite local has had a bit of a glow up… 🍻✨

After giving our pool room a new lease of life last week year, it was time to turn our attention to the rest of the pub and somehow, we pulled it all off in just FIVE days! 😅

From a full rewire and new lighting to plastering, decorating and all the finishing touches, a huge amount of work went into those few days behind closed doors.

And it really was a local effort. A massive thank you to all the brilliant local trades who worked incredibly hard to get everything finished and our doors back open again we couldn’t have done it without you.

If you're out & you feel uncomfortable or unsafe simply go to the bar & ask for ‘Angela’ - a discreet way to ask for help.

Trained staff will then step in and provide support, which may include:

✔️ helping arrange a taxi
✔️ reuniting someone with a friend or relative
✔️ offering an alternative way to leave the venue
✔️ asking the person causing concern to leave
✔️ contacting the police if needed.

The final piece of the puzzle…

Our outside lighting is officially finished and we can’t get over how good The Severn View looks after dark. 🥹

A huge thank you to Severn and Wye Electrical LTD, who haven’t just transformed the outside of the pub, they’ve carried out a full rewire as part of our renovation and have been a huge part of bringing everything together. ✨
