Recycling facility

‼️UPDATE‼️

The bins will be removed on Saturday 4th July and the fence surrounding them will also be removed for safety reasons as pointed out on my previous post.

I don’t believe there is another option for relocating them as yet- I’m sure any ideas from the community would be welcome.

For many years The Bailey has freely provided a site for the recycling. For safety reasons, due to two recent near collisions of vehicles leaving the car park, there is a need to reconsider this situation.
• The facility severely restricts the visibility of oncoming traffic.
• The increased customer flow in The Bailey has created a subsequent vehicle increase in exits onto the road. Feedback, particularly from new customers, relates their nervousness at exiting the car park.
It is understood the Community Centre have been approached to be the new site. It is hoped the community will support them as a Community Centre in providing the community with this facility. Their better access will avoid the potential of traffic difficulties.
Biffa have kindly agreed to relocate the bins free of charge and will continue to collect the recycling free of charge. It is likely to be moved from The Bailey in the next 4 weeks.
