The Plough is situated approximately 3 miles north of the town of Lowestoft, just off the A12 Yarmouth to Lowestoft road, in the quiet village of Blundeston. This old Inn, a former coaching stop, has connections with Charles Dickens who wrote about it in his book, David Copperfield. The modern Plough has naturally been brought up to date with its cosy bars, restaurant, games room and that all important winter time open log fire! A warm and friendly greeting awaits you at The Plough, which, together with fine local ales, good home cooked food and pleasant surroundings, we feel sure you will enjoy your visit to one of north Suffolk’s best known public houses.

Wow! What a lovely evening we’ve had! 🧡

It was so wonderful to see so many of you come along to The Plough tonight to celebrate Halloween with us! 🎃

All the children looked absolutely fantastic in their Halloween costumes – some brilliant, spooky and scary outfits! 🧙‍♀️🕷️🦇

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the evening so special. We really do appreciate your support, and it was lovely to see so many happy faces!

Our Chef Scarecrow is still proudly taking part in the Scarecrow Trail!👨‍🍳

Unfortunately, with these high winds, we’ve had to move him somewhere a little more sheltered so he doesn’t blow away! 💨😂

But don’t worry, he’s still here! You’ll find him under shelter around the back of The Plough, keeping nice and dry! 🍂
