🎙️ A little bit of excitement for us today… I was invited onto BBC radio Gloucestershire to chat about The Red Hart, our community, and our recent experience meeting Joe Lycett.

One of the things I loved about being part of the show was the opportunity to highlight what pubs really are.

They’re not just places you see in TV dramas — they’re places where people come together. They’re where friendships are made, celebrations happen, local groups meet, charities are supported, and communities connect. 🍻❤️

Village pubs are at the heart of so many communities, but they need those communities behind them — and they also need the right support and environment to allow them to keep thriving.

Still can’t quite believe last night happened! ❤️

Being invited to represent our little village pub on the very first episode of Pub Lycett Arms was such an honour.

It’s moments like these that remind us pubs are about so much more than food and drink—they’re about community, stories, laughter and occasionally… horses wandering inside. 🐴😂

Well… what a night! 🤯🍻

We officially became the very first pub twinned with The Lycett Arms for the very first episode… and what a ride it was!

📱 We livestreamed straight from The Red Hart to the studio in London.
🥔 Sent one of our Young Farmers to battle it out in the world’s most important competition… finding the biggest crisp in the packet. (Sadly, victory wasn’t ours this time!)
🤠 Danced along to Dolly Parton.
🐴 Somehow ended up talking about the time a horse came into the pub.
😂 Watched Sara Cox get sacked as trainee manager.
🍺 Met Guy Khan… although we’re still not convinced he knew what was going on!

Thank you to everyone who came along to pack out the pub, joined in the madness and made it such a brilliant evening.

🎉 Tonight’s the night!

The secret is finally out… and we’re so excited to be part of Joe Lycett’s live TV show this evening!

We’ll be streaming live from the pub on our phone as part of the programme, so if you’d like to be part of the atmosphere (and maybe even end up on TV!), we’d love you to come along and join us.

Our Summer was filled with sunshine, celebrations, village events, fantastic customers and memories we’ll never forget.

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their summer with us. ❤️

As the leaves begin to turn, we’re looking forward to cosy evenings, great food, quiz nights and everything autumn brings.

Congratulations team Red Hart another 5 star food hygiene rating (3rd time in a row). We’ve just had a surprise visit from environmental health - 7 o clock Saturday night on a bank holiday weekend - somebodies getting some overtime in!!!
The team have done a great job maintaining our rating - congratulations and thank you 🙏🏻 ❤️
