We continue to be incredibly grateful for every donation, message and share of the fundraiser. The support from the pub community and beyond has meant more to us than we can express, and it is helping us give Phil the send-off he deserves while easing the pressure on my parents at this difficult time.

The service to celebrate Phil’s life will take place at the Forest of Dean Crematorium on Friday 27th March at 1.30pm. No flowers by request please.

After the service, everyone is warmly invited to join us for the wake at The White Horse in Mitcheldean.

Anyone who knew Phil, whether through the Lamb Inn, the pub trade, or as a friend, is welcome to join us as we come together to remember him.

We wanted to share an update with everyone who has supported us over the past few days.

Thanks to the generosity and kindness shown through the fundraiser and the many messages we’ve received, we have now been able to begin making arrangements for Phil’s funeral.

The service to celebrate Phil’s life will take place at the Forest of Dean Crematorium on Friday 27th March at 1.30pm. No flowers by request please.

We wanted to share a small update with everyone who has supported us.

We have now received the postmortem report, which means we are able to formally register Phil’s death and begin planning his funeral. Being able to take these next steps feels significant, and it is only possible because of the generosity and support we have already received.

Thank you to every single person who has donated so far. Your kindness is helping us give Phil the send-off he deserves and easing the pressure on my parents at an incredibly difficult time.

We would also like to thank those who have left cards, flowers and tributes outside the Lamb Inn. Seeing them there has been deeply moving for all of us. It is a powerful reminder of the community Phil was part of and the lives he touched.

If you are able to continue sharing the fundraiser, it would mean so much. The more people who see it, the closer we can get to reaching the target and ensuring the remaining costs do not fall onto Phil's parents.

Yesterday, Monday 23rd February 2026, we lost our beloved son and brother, Phil Keene.

Phil had been living with epilepsy and other ongoing medical conditions for some time, and he was tragically found at home in the Lamb Inn pub yesterday. Our hearts are broken.

Phil was not only a much-loved member of our family, but also a huge part of this community through the pub. He valued every customer, every conversation, and every friendship he built over the years.

We are all grieving deeply and kindly ask for time and privacy as we begin to process this loss and make arrangements. We will share further information when we are able.
