Some nights are better when you don’t quite know what’s coming next. Open Mic Night returns to The Railway Tavern Crouch End this month (September 14th), hosted as always by the incredible Feeb and the Queen and open to anyone who wants to be part of it.

Bring a song, a poem, an instrument, jump in for a jam with other musicians or simply grab a drink and enjoy the talent from the crowd. No two nights are ever quite the same, and that’s exactly why we love them!

Come along, take a chance on the mic or settle in for the show. Everyone’s welcome!

Summer's still got a few good nights left in it, and we've got plenty of reasons to spend them at The Railway Tavern Crouch End!

Start the week by putting the group chat's collective intelligence to the test at Tuesday Quiz Night, then take things at a slightly more leisurely pace with Prosecco Friday and drinks in the garden.

In between, Roshan's Kitchen is serving up its brilliant mix of Sri Lankan, Jamaican and pub favourites for lunch and evening meals throughout the week. And looking a little further ahead, Open Mic Night with Feeb and the Queen returns in September, bringing another night of live music and local talent to Crouch End.

Basically, whatever kind of week you're after, there's probably a good excuse to spend some of it at The Railway!

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬?

The pub you see today dates back to 1937, but it actually replaced an earlier nineteenth-century Railway Tavern on the same site. Its distinctive mock-Tudor design remains a brilliant example of the classic inter-war London pub and, of course, the Railway name comes from the nearby Crouch End station, which has long since closed.

We've even been lucky enough to hear from families who once ran the pub, sharing old photographs, memories and stories of life at The Railway during the 1950s and 60s.

A lot has changed over the years, but we're still doing what a good local should do: bringing Crouch End together for good food, good drinks and good company.
