Who fancies a laugh?

Sometimes I stop and think about Moors Bar… and I honestly can’t believe how much life we packed into those walls.

Blues that shook the room. Jazz that rolled through the night. Irish folk sessions that turned strangers into family. African drum nights where the whole place moved as one heartbeat.

We had Brazilian dance feasts that felt like carnival, Film Nights that made you think, Fashion Shows that made you cheer, and “Green on the Screen” evenings that made us believe we could change the world.

There were Bar Boot sales, karaoke nights that got wildly out of hand (in the best way), theatre performances, stand-up comedy, circus nights, sound gong journeys, ukulele singalongs, poker nights, and live sports days where the whole bar held its breath at once.

And that’s before we even mention the birthday parties, christenings, and those legendary party nights that nobody wanted to end.

How many memories are we talking about? Hundreds. Maybe thousands. Laughter echoing off the walls. First gigs. First dances. New friendships. Big ideas. Big characters. Big nights.

Moors Bar wasn’t just a venue — it was a heartbeat. It was community. It was magic.

And I’m sure I’ve still forgotten half of it.
