We may be one of the oldest comedy clubs in Britain, but our food, drinks and entertainment are no joke. Welcome to The King’s Head in Crouch End, ready to serve you, your mates, and the perfect punch line. When it comes to a comedy routine, there’s a certain formula. We’re a Victorian dog-friendly pub, rather snug on a corner along Crouch End Hill. One floor isn’t enough to contain us, so upstairs you’ll find a cosy dining area, but downstairs is where the live comedy magic happens, every Thursday and Saturday. We offer a genuine, welcoming experience effortlessly paired with quirky humour and good-natured charm. Fantastic. Treating yourself to after-work drinks? Fabulous. We even encourage you to be a bit selfish and steal us away with private venue hire. Did you know we also host live music every Friday and Sunday and a pub quiz on Wednesday? Now, the punchline… Since we’re near the iconic Crouch End Clock Tower – and Parkland Walk, while we’re at it – it must be time to treat yourself to some quality pub time. Get it?

Crouch End Theatre bring a new play by Sarah Buckley titled Strange Oaths, on for three nights across November
The Park Acoustic Club return for their next edition, showcasing the best of local acoustic talent!

We’ve barely recovered from the World Cup, but England are back and so are our plans to spend 90 minutes cheering at the screen with a pint in hand.

Showing England v Spain, the UEFA Nations League, on Saturday 26th September at 7:45pm.

Round up the squad and get ready for all the pints, a unified love for the game, and completely unbiased refereeing opinions you’d expect from watching England down the pub. Football, best watched at your local.

Our September events! We've got a full schedule in for you next month, so thought we'd let you know nice and early to get the dates in your diary!

Whether it's the little ones watching some drag bingo with The Baby & Parent Entertainment Co., or life drawing with Body Image Archives, listening to some acoustic music with The Park Acoustic Club or singing along yourselves with Kirsty’s Singalong we have it all!

We've got plenty coming up in our downstairs events, and all ages are covered! Some new events, some classics, and some exciting collaborations between our regular events!
