Tomorrow night’s tasting is probably one of the wildest line-ups we’ve had in a while.

Moonshine, young whiskey, cask-aged releases and full proof American-style spirit from London-based Doghouse Distillery.

If you’ve only ever tried polished, heavily aged whisky before, this is a really fun one. You get to taste spirit at different stages of its life and see exactly what the cask is doing along the way.

Expect big vanilla, toasted oak, caramel, spice and a fair bit of heat. Loud whisky in the best possible way.

We’ll be tasting:

🥃 Unaged Moonshine
🥃 1 Year Cask Aged
🥃 2 Year Cask Aged
🥃 Full Proof Whiskey

Tomorrow | 6–8pm
A few spaces still available. Link to tickets in the bio.

Last night was chaos in the best possible way.

A completely packed out Ardbeg Day tasting, loads of incredible bottles open, smoky whisky everywhere and a room full of people properly getting stuck in.

From Kelpie and Scorch through to Ardcore, Heavy Vapours and some absolute rarities, this was one of those nights that reminded us exactly why we started doing these tastings in the first place.

Huge thanks to everyone who came down and made it such a good atmosphere.

Already excited for the next one. 🥃

A dram for the weekend you (definitely) want to try — 5/6

With London apparently heading into a mini heatwave, this feels like the right bottle to pull from the fragrance cabinet.

Prakaan Select Cask is a Thai single malt matured in ex-bourbon oak, and it’s got this really bright, tropical character to it. Loads of soft vanilla, honey, light florals and orchard fruit, with a freshness that works ridiculously well in warmer weather.

Not every whisky has to be heavy, smoky and built for winter. Some are just perfect for sitting outside in the evening with a dram in hand.

This is one of those.

English whisky has been getting seriously interesting lately.

For our next Tuesday tasting we’re pouring through The London Distillery Company — a producer pushing English whisky in a really exciting direction with bold casks, loads of texture and proper individuality.

This one’s less about tradition and more about seeing where whisky can go next.

If you’re curious about modern English whisky, this is the tasting for you.

Tuesday 19th May
18:00–20:00
Limited seats available.

A dram for the weekend you (might) want to try — 4/6

Táċnbora Batch 03.

A whisky blended in Northumbria, pulling together Scottish and Irish whiskies into something properly distinctive.

There’s a bit of softness from the Irish side, a bit of structure and spice from the Scotch, and loads of character running through the middle.

The whole idea behind Táċnbora is rooted in old Northumbrian history — “standard bearer” — and the whisky feels a bit like that too. Bold, confident and made with a clear sense of identity.

Definitely one worth spending some time with.

A dram for the weekend you really should try part 3/6

Signal Hill.

Rather than focusing on different grains, this one’s all about the casks.

Corn and malt spirit aged across three types, ex-bourbon, ex-Canadian whisky and new oak, each bringing something different.

Vanilla and toffee, soft sweetness, and a bit of oak and spice to round it out.

Nicely balanced and easy to get into.

Bushmills and cheese next Tuesday.

Sounds simple, but it works all too well.

Should be a good one.
