⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR EVERYONE BOOKED WITH US FOR RALI CEREDIGION THIS SUNDAY ⚠️

We’ve just had another call from the Rali Ceredigion team asking us to pass on an important update to everyone who has booked to join us on Sunday morning.

🚗 You now need to be THROUGH the road-block security stations by 5:45am AT THE LATEST.

We appreciate this is another change to the timings, and we know it means an even earlier start for everyone, but this is the latest information we have been given directly by the rally organisers and we need to make sure everyone booked with us is aware.

Please don’t aim to arrive at 5:45am — allow yourselves plenty of time to get through the security point and into our car park BEFORE then. Once the road is closed, we cannot guarantee that you will be allowed through.

Everyone will also need to come through the Cwrtnewydd road block, any other road block and you will be redirected to the Cwrtnewydd one.

If you know anyone else who is booked with us, please tag them or send them this post so nobody misses the update.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well… this absolutely made our day! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had this incredible review left for us yesterday after our Sunday carvery, and we’re genuinely made up reading it. ❤️

“What an absolutely fantastic Sunday roast. Honestly, one of the best we’ve ever had in a restaurant.”

From the crispy, fluffy roasties and tender beef, to the homemade cauliflower & broccoli cheese — and apparently finding that little bit of extra room for our sticky toffee pudding and custard 😂🤤 — comments like these mean the absolute world to us.

But what really got us was the lovely mention of our family and the children. 🥹

We’re a proper family-run village pub. The kids are part of the madness, you’ll often see the whole family mucking in, and we put a huge amount of work into making as much of our food as possible from scratch.

So to receive a review like this and see 5/5 for Food, Service AND Atmosphere… well, we couldn’t ask for much more. ❤️

Here’s something many people probably don’t know…

Every single week, we make our own bread completely from scratch, by hand, right here at Tafarn Cefn Hafod.

No frozen dough.
No ready-made loaves.
No shortcuts.

Just simple ingredients, time, patience and a lot of hard work.

It gets mixed, kneaded, proved and baked fresh before being sliced up and transformed into the garlic bread that so many of you order alongside your steaks, burgers and pizzas! 🧄🧈

Could we buy it in? Of course we could…

But where’s the fun in that?

We’d much rather make it ourselves because we genuinely believe food tastes better when it’s made with care.

So next time you order our garlic bread, you’ll know it started life as a lump of dough made by our own hands just a few days earlier.

It’s little things like this that make us proud of what we do.
